Prior to joining JCX Developments Ltd. as Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Tareq served as Company Secretary, Head of Corporate Affairs & Legal, and Trustee at Duncan Brothers (Bangladesh) Limited and its associate Companies, a concern of Camellia PLC, UK. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in strengthening corporate governance frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing legal risk, and enhancing stakeholder engagement. Notably, he served as the first Bangladeshi Board Secretary of UK-registered companies associated with the Duncan Group’s operations in Bangladesh, marking a significant milestone in the Group’s governance history in the country.

Earlier in his career, he held the positions of Company Secretary and Head of Human Resources at NRB Global Life Insurance Company Ltd. He also held senior leadership roles at Progressive Life Insurance Company Ltd., Prime Islami Life Insurance Company Ltd., and Delta Life Insurance Company Ltd., where he contributed substantially to organizational structuring, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency within the insurance sector.

Mr. Tareq is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (FCS) and a Member of the Institution of Personnel Management (MIPM). Academically, he holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Management, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), and multiple Postgraduate Diplomas (PGD) in Human Resource Management, International Relations, and Project Management. These academic and professional credentials underpin his strong governance orientation and strategic leadership capability.
